A collection of socialist poetry written by Marcus Stevens who was born in Maryhill, Glasgow in 1922. He left school at fourteen to serve his time as a fitter at Yarrows shipyard on the Clyde.
He joined the RAF, and after demob, graduated from Queens' University, Belfast, with a degree in economics.
Until retiring in the early 1980s he worked as a Production Engineer and says his only claim to fame is having been a socialist all his working life.
He describes himself as "an incorrigible versifier with encouragable tendencies".
He now lives in Northern Ireland.
